Student life cycle

Subdivision 3.4 | Campus management is responsible for the digital "student life cycle". This covers all phases of the student life cycle. We operate the integrated campus management system “PAUL” (PAUL stands for “Paderborn Assistance System for University and Teaching”) so that we can achieve this in the best possible way. This helps us to map daily academic and administrative processes holistically, minimize the administrative workload, ensure the smooth running of studies and optimize the quality of studies and teaching as well as our processes.

A web-based software solution is used to administer all processes online, from applying for a place to study, enrolling and registering/enrolling for modules and courses to taking examinations. Essentially, the campus management system consists of four areas: student management (including application and enrolment), course management (modeling), course management (with room management) and examination management.

The campus management system is continuously developed and adapted to the administrative requirements of studying and teaching in close coordination with the departments involved in Division 3, the faculties and the PLAZ.
