About Jonas Spieker

Jonas Spieker studied Recording Producer/"Tonmeister" at the Erich Thienhaus Institute Detmold and Musicology at the University of Paderborn. He has been a research and teaching assistant to Prof. Dr. Rebecca Grotjahn at the Department of Musicology in Detmold/Paderborn since 2020 and is writing his doctoral thesis on "Listening as Care. Ecofeminist Perspectives on Environmental Sound Art". Since July 2024 he is editor of the yearbook Music and Gender. 

In addition to his academic work, Jonas Spieker works as a sound artist/sound dramaturge and is engaged as a climate activist.
